Exporting Tips for Small Businesses

Why Export?

Did you know 97 percent of all U.S. exporters are small businesses?

Exporting can be a real advantage for small business- es. Why? Because 96 percent of their customers reside outside of the U.S. Small businesses can reach these customers by financing their export transactions with help from the SBA.

During the webinar, SBA staff will discuss the programs and offer examples of how small business exporters used them to grow sales and meet their working capital needs through the:

  • Export Working Capital Program
  • Export Express
  • International Trade Loan Program

Sandro Murtas is the Regional Manager of the Export Solutions Group for the Office of International Trade of the U.S. Small Business Administration in the Tampa US Export Assistance Center covering Central and Northern Florida. Previously he was the Regional Manager in the New Orleans USEAC and Atlanta USEAC.

In addition, he was a Global Trade Specialist at Synovus Bank’s Government Guaranteed Lending Group. Previous to joining SBA,  he was the Director of the International Trade Center of the Puerto Rico Small Business & Technology Development Center.
