It has been said that in the fight against inequality your greatest weapon is an education. I find this saying to hold true no matter the form that inequality takes; from socioeconomic, to civil rights, to women’s education. Knowledge is power. And being education helps protects you from those who would use their’s to control you.
It’s easy to take an education for granted in America and almost impossible to imagine not having access to one. But there are many areas in the world where women of all ages are dying for the right to learn. So if you’ve been on the fence about whether or not to start at your local community college or tackle that master’s; do it. Not only are you arming yourself and your community against inequality, you’re honoring the sacrifices of women around the world as well.
