Women tend to spend most of their time focusing on others, especially during the holiday season. Did I get my holiday cards out to all of the people I care about? Did I get all the gifts for everyone on my list? Is the tree up with the lights and presents all stacked neatly underneath? I believe we as women were exceptionally and wonderfully made to be nurturing and take care of others. And with this great responsibility comes other challenges – we lose sight of responsibility to self because we are too busy taking care of others.
As you progress through the holiday season and into the New Year, keep an eye on the things that are important to you, FOR you. Maybe it’s running a 10K race. Maybe it’s obtaining a well-deserved promotion. Or maybe it’s becoming an entrepreneur and starting a new business! No matter what your goal is, I challenge you to keep your eye on the prize and not lose focus on you and your aspirations during this season of giving. Who better to give to than yourself?
