I am a firm believer that success in any capacity is tied to how we react to what life throws at us. None of us are in control over the challenges we will face, and there is no way to predict what will happen in our careers, but we certainly can control how we respond.
Starting out in any career can be a scary and uncertain time. You wonder if you will be good enough, if you have what it takes, and how you can possibly learn it all and overcome the growth curve. If you’re experienced in business you will always have a newer generation coming in to contend with, advancements in technology to learn, skills to sharpen and much more.
The key to self-talk in business is the “what if” scenario. As humans it is so easy for us to latch on to the negatives based on past experiences. Science has proven that our brains are chemically wired to better remember the negatives we have experienced. So how can we overcome this and explore our full potential as it relates to business?
